Being a young mom means we met a little early, but I get to love them longer.

Update on Brentley and Grace.

Brentley had his four month check-up today. He weighs 21.8 lbs, and he is 26 and 3/4 inches long. He also rolled from his back to his tummy for the first time on the 1st! And he can sit up on his own, without falling for about 15-20 seconds.
His doctor has him on his tummy to check his back, and she said that he holds his head and upper body up with the strength of an eight month old.
She agrees that we are holding off baby food until six months. She says that we can introduce rice cereal with a spoon once a day whenever we want though. We may do that in a day or two that way Chris can have that in case Brentley won't take a bottle while I'm at school.

Grace is 2 years and 2 months old today. She is growing up so quick on me! She is sweet, but strong-willed and a fireball! She is constantly on the go. She never plays with a toy for more than five minutes before she moves on to the next thing that catches her eye lol. She is strong-willed because she doesn't give up. If she wants something, she finds a way to get it. She is sweet because she loves to give hugs and kisses. Whenever someone says, "I love you" she replies with, "too." She will also say sorry if she accidentally hurts someone (or thinks she hurt someone). She is polite as well. She says please, thank-you, and you're welcome almost always. She told me today that she wanted to go potty. She didn't go, but hey, she's showing interested and initiative. She also speaks in mostly sentences now. Simple sentences, but sentences none-the-less. I can't believe she is my little, big girl now. It's bittersweet.

We went to Cracker Barrel today, and they were having a 70% off sale on a ton of their stuff. I got Grace a dress that came with a hat and an outfit (both for spring/summer), and I got Brentley a pair of shoes, an outfit for the 4th of July, two long-sleeve onesies, and a hat that matches one of the onesies. I love finding great sales!

  1. Brentley is a beast!!! He is so adorable!!!

Grace is too cute and reminds me of my Charleigh so much. I was showing Drew the pics of her on your last post the other day and he swears that is Charleighs twin!! Haha!!! They make the same face expressions and when you were just talking about her personality it was like you were describing Charleigh!!
I can't believe how much Grace has grown! Seems like just yesterday you were posting pics of her sitting and crawling!!!

  2. Woah! Go Brentley! He's so strong! Introducing rice is a good idea just in case, or at least to help him get used to the bottle.

:( I remember when Samantha turned two. Your posts are breaking my heart because I remember that was a whole year ago for Sam! I thought it was too cute to hear her say, "You're Welcome" the other day. Sounds like she is getting really close on pottying though! Have you tried having her sit and try once every hour? And briber her to sit if you have to. lol Once she does use it and you make a huge deal out of it, she will probably go even more.

Sounds like a good sale. I LOVE their "Blueberri" dresses.

  3. Jessika, thank-you :)
That's funny about Grace and Charleigh. I bet they would be best friends if we lived closer.

Brittany, I'm sorry. Didn't mean to make anyone sad. We are going to start sitting her on the potty at least once every hour, and go from there. I'm thinking maybe stickers as rewards. She loves stickers lol.

  4. Ha Ha. YOu are fine. I Love that she is getting older, but thinking back to when she was smaller is sad too.

That is a good idea. That way you aren't feeding her candy or something constantly and you can get the sheets with like 100 plus stickers at the Dollar Tree.
