Our family outing..

We took Grace to Coolidge Park today, and I thought she would love it because she loves water, but she didn't. The water wasn't even turned on high, so it wasn't hard or anything, but she was scared of it. She just kept wanting to walk off. I thought she would get used to it, so I kept taking her back, but she eventually started getting mad at me, so we decided to leave after like 30 minutes. We walked up to Subway, and ate lunch, then decided to go sign up for our YMCA membership, since we got our financial aid award letter.

Everytime we have gone there (we had to go once to pick up the form, and then again to ask questions about it) Grace has basically plastered herself to the window that you can look through and see the pool. And when we would leave she would get so upset. Well today since we were already in our bathing suits we decided to go ahead and take her swimming since we finally had our membership. She LOVED it! At first she clung to me, but eventually she got comfortable and I could hold her out and she would kick her legs. She also through a ball with Chris, and swam with him some too. It was so funny because every time he would go under water she would hold up her hands and go "daddy?" She did not understand where he was going. And she thought it was hilarious when he would pop back up. It was so cute! I definitely think she is going to be a swimmer. In the bath tub she will hold herself up with her arms and kick her legs. She is teaching herself how to swim lol.

These are the only pics I could get at Coolidge Park..

These are late Mother's Day pictures..

We joined the y. We are going to try it out this month and see if we like it or not. She is getting so big. I love it!!! I can't wait to see baby Brentley and watch him grow to.

  3. Oh ya. Samantha used to be terrified of the fountains too. It was about the time she turned 2 she LOVED them, but that could be because Jessie was there to get in there with her. Before that I went with friends and Jessie wasn't there. Oh, and will you be there today?

Jessika: That is cool you joined. If it is anything like the one here, you will love it!

  4. I really thought Grace would like them, but no such luck. Oh well.. we only paid $2 for parking, so it's not like we wasted anything. I'm surprised they don't charge you to get into Coolidge Park.

@Jessika.. I hope you like the Y. We've only been once, but I think we'll like it.

@Brittany..I'm not sure if we'll be there today or not. Chris was saying he wanted to go, but I'm not sure yet.

  5. Ya. We park down there no matter where we are going down town. We just walk wherever we have to go. lol. I'm cheap. Alright, next Wednesday I am going. I asked the lady what you have to do. She said just walk in and that's it. Samantha did AWESOME in the daycare yesterday while Jessie and I got in the hot tub. She cried when I first left. I felt TERRIBLE. She hasn't been left with a "stranger" or not family or church in well over a year, since she was in daycare. And even then she knew her teachers. But they said after we left she stopped crying and was great. The lady said she wanted her to read to her the whole time and then after awhile she started playing with another girl. I was proud! :)
