Happy 4th!!

We had a busy day. We went to Chris's step-dad's parent's house for a cookout this after noon. They had steak, shrimp, hot dogs, baked potatoes, salad, fruit salad, french fries, rolls, ice cream, and red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. Oh my word, it was all so good! I had a little bit of everything, and they made us take home a whole bag full of left-overs.
We went home, and the kids had about an hour nap, then we went to my cousin's house for another cookout. They had all the traditional cookout foods, but we were all still so full from the meal earlier that we didn't really eat. We just let the kids play. There were lots of kids there. Grace and Brentley, my sister, my cousin's little boy (age 4), my cousin's wife's sister's kids (ages 4 and 2), and my other cousin's baby (6 months old).

Brentley was loving the balls.

And the popsicle lol.

He is getting so big on me!

Grace swinging with her cousin, Tayven. I love this picture!

Here he is following the kids around :)

Also, Grace was in undies all day, and not one accident! She's been in undies for about five days now. The only time she wears diapers is at night, and so far she has only had one night time accident.

  1. Holy crap! Brentley is growing so fast!!

Way to go, Grace! She took on to potty training super fast! Did she wear underwear today while you guys were out and about? How'd she do!?

  2. Looks like fun. I Love cookouts! Did it not storm in that area? It did here and in Hixson.

That's so great for Grace! I know you must be proud. Have you considered using the lastic underwear for at night since she has only had one night time accident? The plastic does a great job of holding it in.

  3. Megan, I know right? He's getting huge! Lol.
Yep, she wore them all day long, and not one accident. She has finally gotten what potty training is all about lol!

Brittany, it did storm when we were at Chris's step-dad's parent's house, but we they got the food cooked just before it rained, and we ate inside. It didn't rain again after that though. We may try that. She has actually had less night time accidents than she has had day time accidents. She been staying dry most of the time at night for awhile now.
