My dentist appointment..

I had a routine cleaning today at the dentist. I was supposed to get x-rays at this appointment, but since I have mister Brentley in there, no x-rays for me. They said my teeth looked really good, which was good news to me because I have been a bad girl, and haven't been to the dentist in several years! I was supposed to go when I was pregnant with Grace, but I didn't get to. I was afraid I was going to have cavaties or something, but I always make sure and brush my teeth everyday, so I guess that explains why I don't. Unfortunately though, he says that I am more than likely going to have to have at least my two bottom wisdom teeth taken out, and maybe even my top two. He won't know for sure until I get x-rays when I go back in six months. It's pretty much a definite that the bottom two will have to come out though. My mouth is already crowded on the bottom. Plus one of them is growing in weird. He said it's amazing that I haven't had any pain from it.
Anyway , I am NOT looking forward to that. I've never had surgery of any kind. So that will definitely be a new experience. My mom said that she would help me out when I have to get them taken out though. She had all four of hers taken out, and she said I will not be able to take care of the babies for a couple of days because of the meds they will have me on. At least I know I have a good support system :)

Also, a little bit of update on life..
  • I have already noticed Grace's language improving since I posted that one post about her. She is getting a lot better at repeating words back to me, so her vocabulary has expanded, and she is using words a lot more. I am very happy about that!
  • I only have two days of school left (tomorrow and Monday)!! Unfortunately on my last day I have to give a 7-8 minute speech :( The good thing is, we got to choose our topic, and I decided that my speech is going to be about why women should let their bodies go into labor naturally instead of electing to be induced. I am really passionate about that, and I don't mind doing the research because it actually pertains to me at this point in my life.
  • And lastly, baby shower on Saturday!! I am super excited about that. Erica is making the cake for us. My nana is making us a diaper cake too! And my mom is going to watch Grace Saturday morning, so that Chris and I can get everything set up and the food ready. I am so thankful that I have all these people willing to help us. I've had over 20 people RSVP. I'm expecting anywhere from 25-30 people. I will have pictures of the shower asap :)

  1. That is great about Grace! Samantha and her will be having conversations before you know it! I remember when Samantha and Kylie Jade first started having little kid conversations! It was so cute!

That is a good topic for a speech, and not the same old stuff he probably hears all the time. You are right. I really enjoy doing papers on something I am interested in because I enjoy learning more, so the research is more voluntary.

I am still not sure if I will get to come..This whole Jessie working on Saturdays is kind of annoying sometimes. And other times I Love it. But I will get Brentley something. :)

  2. She finally started saying cup! I was so proud of her. We have been working on that forever! She can say snack now too, and kitty, and a couple of other new words that I can't think of right now, but I know there has been some other new words.

Yea, on my topic paper my teacher wrote "unique" and underlined it. So I'm guessing that's good lol.

I understand if you can't it. You don't have to get anything. I'm not expecting people to go spend a bunch of money or anything. That's why I didn't put my registries on my invitations. I felt like that was basically saying "go buy something." Lol. And btw, I still think you should learn how to drive :p

  3. That was supposed to say "I understand if you can't make it."

  4. That is great! She will start picking them up on her own before you know it.

I know I need to, but in my mind, I have no car. We can't afford to get another car, maintain it, get gas, and insurance on it. And Jessie is big on the man needs to do all the driving unless the woman is alone. So I will never be the one to drive when it comes to the two of us...So...I am just not motivated to. It is so funny to see people so much younger than me driving though. lol.

  5. I get what you are saying. But I am still getting him something. I will probably just bring it to the hospital. :)
