A trip to the Creative Discovery Museum, plus some Christmas :)

On Thursday we went to the Creative Discovery Museum with Brittany, Sami, and Brennon. So ummm yeah... I definitely hit a car when we were parking. I wasn't even pushing the gas, just kind of coasting into the spot, so we weren't going fast at all, and no one was hurt. The other car didn't even have anyone in it. I've never really been in a wreck of any kind, so I was freaking out. I called the police and reported it. The guy ended up not wanting to file it. All I did was leave some paint marks on his bumper, and he texted me the next morning thanking me for reporting it, telling me that he had already gotten the paint off, and wishing me a happy holiday. He was very kind, thank goodness! And thank-you Brittany for helping me with Grace through all of that!!!

After all that fun (lol), we finally got to go to the museum...

After that, we went to eat, and I got some more cute pics :)

It was a very fun day, but man was I tired when we got home!

And as for Christmas, we are going to put our tree up tomorrow. I got a lot of present wrapping done today.

Thirty-four presents have been wrapped! I still have seven more to wrap, three of which are bigger than any of the presents seen here. I also have the three gift baskets to finish, along with five stockings to put together.
Of the presents above, one is my mom's, one is my sister's, and three are Chris'. The rest are for Grace and Brentley, and five of the seven left to wrap are for Grace and Brentley as well. And that is not including their stocking stuff.

I love days like these!

It was pretty cold today (I think the high was like 38 degrees), but we were bored, so we decided to go out to eat. We went to Tokyo Express. It's a Japanese place that's pretty good for the price. Grace did so good there! She sat in her booster seat, and ate everything on her plate. Brentley slept the whole time, so it was a nice, peaceful dinner.
We decided to go to the mall after that. We walked around the mall for awhile. Grace wouldn't hold either of our hands. She wanted to walk beside us, and if one of us tried to grab her hand she would say, "I coming. I coming!" Once Brentley woke up, we went to the play area. We were there for over an hour. For the longest time Brentley just sat in my lap taking everything in and trying to talk to me and Chris. He loves to babble.
Grace had a blast playing. She kept yelling for us and she would go, "Look, I sliding! Weeeeee!" Then she started running around the slide that was closest to us saying, "I running! I running! I running!" She really is getting good at talking. The other day she said her first five word sentence. She said, "Oh no, it not working." in reference to one of her toys that ran out of batteries.

Anyway, Brentley eventually got hungry, so I fed him, and when he was done we headed home. It was such a great evening, and Chris said that he wants to try to do this once a week.

(She needs her hair cut again)

This is her singing her ABC's.

She knows A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, O, P, W, X, Y, and Z. Only eight more letters to learn. She can also count to thirteen and recognizes numbers one through thirteen. Like if I write a 2, she will say "two." 5, she will say "five." Etc, etc.
And she knows almost the entire cast of Sesame Street. She knows Elmo, Abby, Cookie, Ernie, Grover, and Big Bird.

Tasty Tuesday :)

Yes, I remembered this week! Lol. With all the holiday activities going on, I have been missing my Tasty Tuesday posts, but I didn't miss it this week. I will try to remember from now on.

This week is... Cheesy drop biscuits! Ever been to Red Lobster and had their cheesy biscuits? Well, these taste like those... so good!

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine all ingredients until blended.
  3. Drop by rounded table spoons 2 inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Cool for five minutes before removing from pan.
  6. Enjoy :)
**This recipe yields about 2 dozen biscuits.
